How to choose stainless steel casters

Casters were industrialized in the West from the end of the 19th century, so casters are generally expressed in inches. Typical trolleys use 5-inch or 4-inch casters. Compared with ordinary industrial casters, stainless steel casters differ in that the brackets and standard parts are made of stainless steel, which has strong corrosion resistance.
When choosing stainless steel casters, pay attention to a few points.
1. Size
Generally speaking, the larger the diameter of the casters, the less force is used to propel them and the more capable they are over obstacles. The casters we often use are 2 inches, 2.5 inches, 3 inches, 3.5 inches, 4 inches, 5 inches, 6 inches, 8 inches, 10 inches, etc. Supermarket shopping carts, logistics carts, tool carts and other casters that often need to be pushed are generally 4-6 inches. However, the larger diameter of the caster will increase the center of gravity and increase the cost of equipment, which needs to be considered comprehensively. If you don't need to move equipment, such as items, refrigerators, etc., and only need to move it when cleaning, use casters no longer than 3 inches.
2. Load bearing
Stainless steel casters have the same diameter, and generally have different options such as light, medium and heavy . The difference is that the wheels and brackets have different thicknesses or materials.
3. Wheel material
Generally, the wheels are made of PU, TPR, PP, rubber, nylon, etc. Polyurethane casters are the most used material.
4. Installation method
There are many ways to install casters, including flat plate type, bolt type, hole top type, spring type, etc. The bottom plate type is the most common, which can be used for heavy loads or directly welded to the equipment.
5. Braking
Brakes can be divided into brake wheels, brake brackets, and brake wheels and brake brackets.
6. Arrangement of casters to equipment:
Generally, 4 wheels are installed under the equipment, and there are also 6 or even more. The distribution is also different. The layout is different, not only affects the cost, but also the sense of push is very different !
